Can you actually train your body to swing the golf club faster?
Yes, you can!!! In this episode with Mike Napoleon and Kyle Shay from SuperSpeed Golf, they explain why and how this is possible. No matter your age or skill level, you can train your body to swing faster. Through their proven and studied training program, which is used by PGA Tour, LPGA, Web.com, Collegiate players, Long Drive competitors, and Junior Golfers, players are seeing speed gains upwards of 10-15mph. All of this is accomplished while not creating injury or affecting mechanics.
Can Junior Golfers benefit from SuperSpeed?
Junior golfers are seeing some of the biggest gains in swing speed. Mike and Kyle explain the importance of implementing speed training at very young ages, due to their swing speed ceiling being mainly developed as a kid. Many coaches around the world are implementing the SuperSpeed training system into their training programs.
What does the SuperSpeed System Include?
The SuperSpeed systems consists of three different weighted clubs all based on stock driver weight. One club is 20% lighter, one club is 10% lighter and one is 5% heavier. The training program consists of a 6-8 week protocol, which you perform 3 times per week or every other day. It only takes 5-8 to perform each session. Follow protocol exactly, wherever you can, starting with a dynamic warmup. Program is designed beginning with intensity and gradually increasing. This is a very simple and proven system that will train your body to swing the golf club faster and hit the ball farther.
How to Monitor your progress
SuperSpeed also has a speed monitoring device available that will help you track your speed gain progress. You could also use many of the portable launch monitors available in the market today, such as the Flightscope Mevo, Swingcaddie (SC100, SC200, SC300), Ernest Sports (ES12, ES14, ES15), ForesightGC2 or GC4. These portable launch monitors are great because you can use them indoors or at the range. Each one of these monitors varies in price, size, and features. I personally own the Flightscope Mevo and love it.
In this episode you will learn how the SuperSpeed system was developed, the theory behind it, how it will help you train your body to swing the golf club faster, at what age you can start the program, why speed is so important to college coaches and how to incorporate the SuperSpeed training system into your golf training plan.
